To clean leather dining chairs, a mild soap solution can be made up (mixing a tiny drop of gentle, PH-balanced soap or mild washing up liquid with warm water). Swish a soft cloth around in the mixture, before wringing it out completely and using it to gently wipe the surface of the chair. The area can then be buffed dry using a dry towel.
Preventing Wear
If they’re making the investment, your customers will want to look after their leather dining chairs. To do this, they’ll need to clean them regularly, conditioning them every six to 12 months.
They can also protect them well from heat, sunlight and sharp objects. Regarding the latter, keys that have escaped out of a jeans pocket, or cutlery, statement earrings, and even the pointy edges of some kids’ toys could pose a risk to leather furniture. It’s important, therefore, to keep an eye on anything that could damage their chosen piece(s).

How do you protect a dining chair against spills? It really goes without saying, but clients should exercise caution while eating and drinking.
This isn’t always possible at the dining table (it’s much easier when eating or drinking from a sofa) but perhaps consider keeping foods and condiments that are prone to leaving nasty, hard-to-remove stains (olive oil, anyone?) to a minimum. That depends, of course, on how particular your clients are about keeping their furniture free from spills.
